Our Story
December 2016: Josh and Gabby went on a trip that will change their lives forever. Both had signed up to volunteer in Israel for a week, Gabby with her sister and Josh with his close friends. When they first met, Josh was flustered and unintentionally ignored Gabby completely. His suitcase was lost and he had to spend the first few days on the trip with only what was on his back. Somehow, through the filth and smell, Josh got Gabby to sit next to him on the bus. During these bus rides they talked for hours and took way too many Snapchats.
After the trip ended they both knew this was more than just close friends. They found time to talk and FaceTime multiple times a week, kept up an impressive Snapchat streak and quickly planned a trip to New Orleans for February. Lucky for Josh, the show “The Bachelor” had just filmed a date there so Gabby was in. A long weekend in New Orleans proved to both of them this relationship could overcome the 2500 miles. As the months went on Gabby and Josh found every possible way to spend time together. From Bend, OR to Coronado, CA and Phoenix to New York City, every moment together was cherished.

While trips together were wonderful, they knew that a real relationship was not always being on vacation. Josh moved to NYC in September 2018. Nine months together allowed the relationship to grow to new heights. Daily struggles with work, school and health only made their love grow stronger. A few months in they knew they were beshert, a perfect match. Barkley (a cavapoo) joined their little family in November 2018. When Gabby finished her degree they made the trek back to the desert.

Josh, Gabby and Barkley have been living in Scottsdale the past two years. Despite a pandemic, during 2020 Gabby and Josh got engaged and bought a yard (for Barkley) with a great house. They can't wait to start their lives together as a married couple and celebrate their wedding with you all in (hopefully) October!
